This piece is an artistic depiction of the special ties between Floridians and the nature that surrounds us. We experience the natural world in a way few others do, as we are constantly directly interacting with the animals, vegetation, and bodies of water that literally shape Florida. This also means we have an especially important role in protecting the environment in the wake of climate change, a role I hope we place an increasingly higher value on.
